Our Alumni Give Back

We are so fortunate to have alumni that continue to support our preschool long after they have parted. Kenneth Vona’s two sons attended Roxbury Weston Preschool, Daniel 2007-2008 and Nicholas 2009-2010, and are now in college and high school. Vona believes in giving back to his community so he returned to Roxbury Weston Preschool to update the playground; a place where his boys played, made friends and learned life long lessons. Over the years Vona has contributed countless hours and expertise to RoxWes Preschool. As a prominent home builder in New England, Kenneth Vona Construction and Son has ensured our playground is safe, interactive and beautiful. This year his team made some wonderful changes and updates to our playground.

The list of improvements are so generous.

  • Our Storage Shed was rebuilt; finally giving us a safe place to store school equipment and toys

  • The Little House on the Playground received new shingles and a fresh coat of paint

  • Our Sign In cubby was reinforced from rotting wood and spruced up with shiny red paint

  • The Teeter Totter had rust removed and was also given fresh paint in blue and white

  • The Fire Truck was sanded and given a fire engine red paint job

  • Our Gross Motor Play Structure had old floor planks removed and replaced

  • Fort Awesome was power washed and given new safety rails

  • The Sandbox was raked and the sand sifted to remove all debris

We are so grateful to Kenneth Vona and his team for donating their time, energy and resources to Roxbury Weston Preschool.
