Roxbury Weston Programs celebrated its 50th anniversary with “On the Rox” on May 9, hosted by the Board of Trustees and planned by co-chairs Alix Mackey and Kait Whitworth. Two founders of Roxbury Weston Programs, Imogene Fish and Phyllis Ritvo, who established the summer camp and preschool in 1965, joined the festivities. Current parents, alumni, teachers, supporters and friends mingled outdoors under a festive tent and toasted the program with cocktails and a visit from Roxy’s Grilled Cheese food truck. Roxbury Weston Preschool is housed in the education wing of First Parish Church in Weston, and the CATCH (Children Achieving Through Community Hope) after-school program for children in grades K to 6 is located at Church of Christ in Roxbury.
